Still active development? #163

Dear all, considering the Insights of the last month, there was no activity. I am also affected by the recurring-bug on syncing the db and I'm waiting for a fix.

Could someone please comment on what we have to expect in general? Is this project going to be continued?

I can't speak for the project but if there's a bug you want to work on a patch for the team is pretty responsive to that and via irc. It's a semi-mature codebase in my experience

@pbeckingham, @recollir, @ddeimeke and @unode as you are listed in the AUTHORS file, maybe you can comment on this? :) There has not been a release of this software in 7 years and it would be very good to see a new release being made.

@dvzrv I'm the current maintainer. There is a plan to make a new releae of the 1.x series in the relatively not-too-distant future, in fact it is the next major release that should happen in the ecosystem.

@tbabej Is this still the plan? There have been a ton of fixes applied to 1.2.0 that are missing from all major package repositories because they are not included in any release version. Is there a list of things that have to be done before a release? This way people could help out and move this forward.

I think with the release of taskwarrior v3 this issue is obsolete, and can be closed.

[!IMPORTANT] Taskserver is only compatible with Taskwarrior 2.x, and is no longer actively developed. See man task-sync for task synchronization with Taskwarrior 3
