Right now we're just using white-space: pre-wrap which is generally OK but it probably means that the page isn't very accessible, e.g. there's no way blind users can easily skip to the next section header with a screen reader.
Er, as @claudioccm just mentioned on slack, it even looks a bit too homogenous even for sighted visitors, so adding some semantic markup would be better all around.
