While:
Write flash memory to transmitter --> Write firmware to transmitter.
is somehow good (even if people very often doesn't know what a firmware is),
write model memories is in my opinion wrong, i will prefer:
"Write settings to the transmitter."
The eeprom in fact also keep general settings...

Short abbreviated descriptions are always hard to do, especially in many
languages.
How about "Write firmware to flash memory in transmitter"? And "Write model
memories to EEprom in transmitter"? I don't think this is easy to do.

Sorry but it should reflects the actual function and should be short eg.:
Write Firmware to TX, Read Firmware from TX
Write Configuration to TX, Read Configuration from TX
Write Configuration from file to TX, Read Configuration from TX to file

I agree with your method.

I think that the idea of getting rid of the terms flash and EEPROM in the user
interface of companion9x makes perfect sense. They really are confusing.
Using the phrases "Write/read firmware" is quite clear.
"Write/read configuration" is however not clear enough. It might be confused
with just managing the radio settings.
How about using the phrases "Write/read models and config". Not that much
longer and completely impossible to misinterpret.

I agree, the word "model" is essential. I prefer "Write model settings" or even
"model preferences" (could shortened to "prefs" if necessary)
For the other, what about "operating system firmware"? Even my mom knows that
the OS is the code that runs the device.

How about just "Upload Models" and "Upload Operating System"?? Then a Save for
both.
