The proper supported ways of installing GO are mentioned in https://github.com/GrandOrgue/grandorgue/blob/master/INSTALL.md
Flatpack installation is supported by another team.
Thank you for your answer (and to all GO-developers in general for this amazing project!!).
Still I think it is a bit strange, that the - at least for the ordinary Mint-User - very common way of installing Linux apps, should not work. If I am in the mood, I will sign up at Flathub and report this error in the forum, but at least it is documented here now :-)
Today (28-02-2024) I installed the recent version of GO via Flatpack(Flathub) on a PC with Linux Mint 21.3. The installation itself worked fine, but everytime when I start GO I only hear a quick "pop" on the speakers and without further information the process terminates again.
My workaround was to download the current AppImage. This works fine on my PC, therefore I am happy again with GO, but I wonder why the "proper" installation does not work as it should (or is this not supported anymore)?
