There exists no open-source style guideline against which to compare stylistic contributions

We currently accept open-source contributions according to the c4 model but have no open-source guidelines on how contributions ought to be limited stylistically.

I propose we snapshot the various components (buttons, lists, dropdowns) from the designed delivered from figma and commit them to source code. This way we can limit contributions without being arbitrarily subjective.

I've come to the conclusion, using the c4 model, that any issue of style divergence can be formulated as a problem by appealing to the living guidelines that exist in other parts of the site, or by appeals to logic.

ie.

• "padding in component X is 10rem, but is consistently 1rem in similar components" (appeal to existing styles)
• "component x in table does not use a monospace font" (appeal to existing styles, as all table fonts are monospace)
• "important data is shifted too far right due to addition of x component" (appeal to logic)
