Ideas:

• Have all lines together ( float:left ) and show meta data on hover/click.
• Have dark mode for night reading
• New theme from bootswatch would surely help.
• Have nitnem in one page instead of paginating it.
• Search bar, Jump to Ang on nav bar (sticky) would be really helpful
• A sidebar with information like Hukamnama, Date in Nanakshahi Calendar and upcoming gurupurabs.

The general spirit of the site is to be a minimalistic reference to the Guru Granth Sahib (to begin with). I want it to be a snappy online, interactive book. I don't think a daily hukamnama, calendar or information on upcoming gurpurabs will fit into that scheme.

In the future, I think allowing people to make accounts (or using google authentication) to book mark verses, shabads, etc will remain in line with this "reference" concept. I want to allow people to be able to make their own little pothis or explore other related banis like Dasam Granth, etc.

I agree on the other points.

Makes perfect sense about hukamnama and calendar.

For now we can rely on localStorage for saving info like bookmarks etc, with import export support.
