No user profile notifications on Pixel 7 #3209

I know this question has been asked many times before... So I hope my question may provide value to anyone with a similar problem in the future.

Anyway, what I've tried...

  1. I've made sure Android System Notifications are turned on
  2. I've turned on "Send notifications to current user" for both the Owner and User profiles
  3. I've tried installing Google play services on both the owner and user profiles
  4. I've made sure grapheneos and all apps are updated
  5. I've made new user profiles and reinstalled different apps and still don't receive notifications

For what it's worth, I haven't received user profile notifications for the last 8 to 12 months and gave up trying to solve this problem. I get no notifications sent to the current user from any apps. I've tried Proton Mail, aTalk, Conversations, the default messaging app, Proton Calendar, Tutanota and others. I've tried making new user profiles and reinstalling apps and still do not receive notifications. I would find it very hard to believe I'm the only one experiencing this problem.

Can anyone help me solve this problem?

This is a configuration issue with your device, not a bug. It's possible you have battery saver, do not disturb or another similar option enabled. Many of the apps you're listing don't require Google Play to show notifications. Google Play is only needed for apps which only know how to provide push notifications via FCM and it isn't displaying the notifications itself but rather providing a way to push messages from a server to the app which is commonly used for notifications but also other purposes.

You'll need to get support for this in our main chat room or our forum. Try the chat room first, or ask on both but update the forum thread once you have the issue solved so people know.
