Are you trying on another modern Android device? Modern Android requires a valid certificate from a WebPKI CA. Some of these networks still don't support Android from years ago.
@flaurafauna Did you figure out if that's the reason?
Closed - issue was due to the "anonymous identity" field auto-populating. It took submitting a bug report for me to actually figure it out. Hopefully this will be helpful to somebody else experiencing a similar issue.
Attempting to connect to the 'eduroam' network (commonly used by higher education institutions) on GrapheneOS results in an "Authentication problem" being reported by the OS.
Issue persists across devices (Tested using Pixel 5 and Pixel 7 running fresh installs of the latest stable build of GrapeheneOS).
Issue persists across user accounts (Tested with my account and the accounts of some of the IT staff at my institution).
Issue persists across multiple school campuses.
Connection works fine on other cellular and laptop devices using identical configurations.
Disabling MAC address randomization does not resolve the connection issue.
First noticed in mid-January, but I cannot provide a specific date or update version after which I was made aware.
