Google Wallet does not open saying "There was a problem setting the active account." #3349

Hello!

Currently I am unable to use Google Wallet due to seemly an account issue, however I am logged in with my Google account with Sandboxed Play Services enabled and I am unsure what to do here / debug this issue. I have provided a screenshot on the exact error that shows up when opening the wallet app:

Try giving either play services or the app itself the Phone and SMS permissions.

Note that contactless payments require a Google-certified OS and won't work. Google Wallet should be usable for the rest of its functionality, however.

Enabling phone and SMS permission for Play Services fixed this issue, thank you !!

I am getting this error. I have enabled the Phone permission, and there is no SMS permission:

Phone and SMS for Play Services, not the Google wallet app.
