Would be nice to ask for password, cause timout is important to lock the device after x minutes and an security feature

This feature will be included in Android 15.

Will this be added by AOSP or by GOS?

It'll be in AOSP. In fact, it's there already, but disabled by a feature flag which will be turned on in Android 15.
