Sending texts with or without media will create a duplicate text message when using any 3rd party SMS/MMS application. Pick any of them, and the the text message they send will be duplicated.

What do you mean by a duplicate text message?

It will send two identical messages to the recipient, though only one message was sent.

More widespread than may be represented here.
Was trying to use an alternate SMS app to text photos from ente app, because photos weren't landing in the text when using the native SMS/MMS app.
I tried using Fossify SMS Messenger, and Simple SMS Messenger, and they had no problems sending any photo I wanted, but they would duplicate the text.
Then I tried just sending a text by itself, and it too was duplicated. I can do screenshots of both if that helps.

Seems to happen on secondary accounts.

I just proved myself wrong on one test. The duplication did NOT happen on the Admin account when sending a text or photo to myself using Fossify SMS Messenger. The duplication "seems" to happen on the non-admin accounts (multiple accounts?)

Which may be why it's not reported as much. Depends on how many folks are running multiple accounts?
