SMS cannot be deleted in Messaging app after 2024101600 update #4145

Today i updated to Android15 😀 and got multiple SMS messages from my SIM card provider. Deleting those messages is not possible with the GOS standart messaging app.

1.Deleting all messages alltogether displays: Set Messaging as the default SMS app. Tapping on Change result in no reaction at all.

  1. Deleting the SMS one by one also displays Set Messaging as the default SMS app, but tapping on change displays Messaging successfully set as default app. The next try to delete the single message sms displays Set Messaging as the default SMS app again (loop).

I am only using the standart sms app at the moment and no other sms apps are installed or could be chosen in apps/default apps, all permissions allowed.

Worked in Android 14 before.

It's resolved for the upcoming release.
