[ ] research a way to test just for the existence of keys, not their order
[ ] else write a helper function
[ ] or define a strict order for a binary format (using structurae) and throw out JSONs

CLOSED -> Will soon be replaced by binary format, so JSON I/O will be obsolete shortly
