Wow I've seen the pixel XL charger hit 3400ma during charging and it stays up there until the last 10% and also slows from time to time to keep the battery in the mid 40's (Celsius obviously) temp wise. I do know the Pixel 5inch handles much less.
I've so heard and will soon test the Pixel Chromebook charger which is supposed to get a massive boost in how much power it accepts.
The brick that ships with the Pixel and Pixel XL is identical but if you read the microscopic text you see 2 modes. One for each phone but they both take about the same time to charge up because the XL has a bigger battery.
This is a new kernel implementation for sm5414 charger (first, implemented only on lenovo vibe k5 A6020 device).
Description: This allows user to manage USB charging current, works only on AC charger, to USB maximum current is arround 550mA (independent of value written here), user can set values from 100mA to 2500mA (stock is 1500mA). With this, quick charge will be really quick. Written by: electronicslover
