It seems like Berserk is actually negatively affecting the Stinger, it seems slightly slower during Berserk and very much seems slower after Berserk than it normally is.
@GreatEmerald If you could I'd love some assistance solving the remaining issues please.
The winding sound is a hack because it's not used that way in UT3, and we should strive to be close to UT3.
I'm not sure why the UC files would be different from what you have. As far as I know this should be the latest code...
For fire rate changes, you'll want to document them separately (and I'm pretty sure it's the same for bots, must be your imagination).
I don't remember how it sounds in UT3 and you'd need to look into how SoundCues are constructed anyway.
The impact sounds I need to change the bullethit sound to StingerImpact sound group but don't know where to look, I've been looking but haven't found it yet.
Alt Fire does have the WindLoop in the code already but I'm not hearing it or it's too quiet which quiet is still an issue with that, the code is a lot quieter than the animation sounds for some reason.
Listening to it on the PS3 I think I've got it fairly close on how it sounds, just the WindLoop is too quiet still.
Took forever but I think I found what needs to be changed for the impact sound.....question is how? http://greatemerald.xmpcommunity.com/uncodex/UT2004/Source_xeffects/xheavywallhiteffect.html
I've been testing the changes to the Stinger Minigun and I'm fairly happy with it in the idea it's much closer to UT3 now.
There are still some issues with code to solve, and without a doubt Berserk as well as UT2004RPG (with & without) are making the alt fire slower than it normally is and is even slower with RPG without Berserk, which normally it's fairly rapid (after being fixed to be similar to UT3 anyway) but when negatively affected slows down to flak or rocket fire rate which isn't good.
EDIT - The UAX is shared with the vehicles right, how exactly is that going to work without issues if they are using separate binaries with the same file?
EDIT2 - If you like, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbUnlZyrQAk this vid is probably decent for showing the sound changes, not good for showing the fixed fire rate however as it's being negatively affected somehow and wasn't that slow when I was testing changing it to begin with.
No changes needed here, should be set up for both basic & extended sound packs now, and yes basic is non-recorded sounds, mostly taken from beta 4 uax files and repathed to make them cue compatible as Alex dubs it.
Requires binary update for both UKX and UAX
Issues still unsolved...
