@russelltrow please provide feedback on the overall strategy and campaign outline. Still unsure of when we should launch this. Leaning towards end of November, after Decarb.
This email campaign is designed to engage and nurture the 50,000 trainees who completed the Green Software Practitioners course, guiding them on a journey to become proficient in green software principles and practices. The campaign aims to foster a sense of belonging, confidence and collaboration. The emails promotes active participation, community involvement, and continuous learning while strengthening a strong connection with the Green Software Foundation.
Email 1: Introduction & Green Software Journey Kickoff (Day 1) Purpose: Introduce the upcoming email series and get better acquainted. Call to Action: Gather information about audience preferences regarding software development languages.
Email 2: Practical Tips & Resources (Day 3) Purpose: Provide actionable tips and resources to help trainees apply green software principles effectively. Call to Action: Encourage trainees to share a challenge/pain point they are currently navigating.
Email 3: Innovative Tools & Technologies (Day 7) Purpose: Introduce trainees to innovative tools and technologies that can enhance their green software practices. Call to Action: Encourage practitioners to get familiar with the tool and exchange notes on GSF Discussions. Note: (We can create an LFC131 category for discussions)
Email 4: Community & Collaboration (Day 14) Purpose: Highlight the importance of community and collaboration in the green software space. Call to Action: Invite trainees to join the Green Software Community and contribute to community efforts. Meetups GSF Discussions LinkedIn and Twitter Check if your org is a member and tap into our working groups!
Email 5: Exclusive Opportunities (Day 21) Purpose: Share opportunities for further learning and involvement with the Green Software Foundation. Call to Action: Collect interest in advanced courses and recruiting Green Software Ambassadors.
Email 6: Case Studies & Success Stories (Day 28) Purpose: Showcase real-world case studies and success stories of organizations implementing green software practices. Call to Action: Ask trainees if they have their own green software success stories to share.
Email 7: Webinars & Workshops (Day 35) Purpose: Announce upcoming webinars and workshops focused on green software topics. Call to Action: Encourage trainees to register for these events and provide feedback on preferred topics.
Email 8: Discover Our Latest Projects and Initiatives (Day 42) Purpose: Share information about the GSF's latest projects to inform practitioners about the cutting-edge work in our field to inspire and elevate their own efforts. Call to Action: Learn more (redirect to blog)
Email 9: Subscribe to the Foundation's Newsletter (Day 49) Purpose: Energize practitioners by sharing how fast the field is evolving and encourage them to stay on top of the latest developments in green software. Call to Action: Invite trainees to subscribe to GSF's newsletter and stay updated with the latest in green software.
Email 10: Join Carbon Hack 24 - Unleash Your Green Software Potential (Day 56) Purpose: Conclude the email series by expressing gratitude for the trainees' commitment to green software principles and share a way they can unlock their potential. Call to Action: Participate in Carbon Hack 24
What: Email campaign to engage with th 46,000+ audience who have completed the LFC131 course Why: We have a large group of people who have invested time and energy in completing the LFC131 course and we aren't currently engaging with them. How: Practitioners who have completed the LFC131 course will receive the email campaign via LF Hubspot
