Dan update: no major updates - have a release a few weeks ago and planning another in Jan next year.
OSS WG discussed https://sustainablewebdesign.org/calculating-digital-emissions/ - and looked at some of the assumptions versus the https://github.com/Green-Software-Foundation/software_carbon_intensity.
@dtoakley-tw to reject a current pull request, but suggest the PR be re-submitted if it links out specifically to carbon calculations.
My update: no major updates - planning to do another release in the next 2-3 weeks.
Any update @dtoakley-tw given your timezone?
Yes! We've had a lot of submission in the past few weeks, so I'm planning to do another release before the next WG call. No blockers or requests from the WG.
Update:
Waiting to merge the latest dev branch to main, blocked by DCO commits.
Action: @dtoakley-tw to reach out to @seanmcilroy29 with list of people needed for the DCO, to get contact info.
@Sealjay -- worst case, if we could exclude some people from the DOC via the .github directory. But hopefully we won't need to do this.
No update this week unfortunately -- but I will be getting the DCO issues resolved and dev branch merged in before the release of the SOGS Report at the end of the month.
My update for this week -- I've been swamped with client work and haven't been able to review the latest PRs yet. But I've blocked out time this evening to do so, with the goal of merging everything in by end of this week.
@benlogan Please can you add an update here ahead of the OSWG later today.
Update from @Sophietn in OSWG on 2024 01 09:
Election period for nominations to fill the PL vacancy. Closing on the 4th April. https://github.com/Green-Software-Foundation/awesome-green-software/issues/171
@prof-antar please could you provide an update on the Awesome Green Software project?
@Sophietn In the past couple of weeks, we've been bust with reviewing the current list, clearing the PR backlog, and conducting a gap analysis for the initiative overall. Over the next two weeks, we will reconcile the branches dev vs main and continue the clearing of the backlog. Team is also putting together a verification exercise of the existing entries for quality purposes. There are no blockers at this stage.
