Tackling open Pull Requests - October 2023 #260

Hey @greenhsu123 @markus-gsf-seidl @kapokasa @franziska-warncke as discussed in this week's meeting we have a number of open Pull Requests that we would like to get closed

I've attempted to organise the "low hanging fruit" by estimated effort:

Low

Medium

High

As agreed please pick-up whichever PRs you feel comfortable with and attempt to move them forward.

There are then a number of patterns that are pending action from other contributors:

I will reach out to these individuals to see if we can get their patterns moving.

I've noticed the dev branch is out of sync with main so created this PR: https://github.com/Green-Software-Foundation/patterns/pull/262

Should all the new Patterns first go into dev or main?

@markus-gsf-seidl and I discuss this and thought dev first was the right approach. He will quickly review #262 and let me know if it's ready to merge.

Any objections?

Now that the main and dev branches are in sync I've created a v1.0.0 release so we can track the addition of new patterns from the current 47

Spoken with @yelghali and he's currently working on the IEF project, he will try his best to review the PRs when he has time.

I've marked them all as blocked for the time being.

I've merged the PRs labelled as "Ready to Merge" and pass them over to the Technical Author for review.

The Technical Author (@catherinemaughan) has done her review and there are a number of Patterns ready to go live:

I've leave the PRs open until after our project call incase anyone has any comments. After our call I'll get them merged and published.
