Good to see this come up! Separately, the Policy WG are looking at Roundtables.
One of the challenges with roundtables is making them effective in a hybrid or remote situation. Was there any discussion of this
@aecurrie - excellent idea. Pindy asked if this would be open to all and whether there would be an agenda? @russelltrow says it would be run as a workshop. Russ will prepare a proposal to review.
Transferring this proposal to the Policy Working Group as they are owning the process around Roundtables.
Great idea, shall we plan early 2024.
Hi @PindyBhullar - we raised this at the Policy Working Group, as it's very much in-line with the activities we'd said we'd like to dedicate some attention to in 2024.
I think one of the members with experience in this domain may be in touch, but I don't know their name on Github @seanmcilroy29 - should have it, and may put you in touch.
Ah, I think it was @mcrubellati At CAST - https://github.com/mcrubellati.
He might not be on github, so we may need another way to notify him to put him in touch.
I'm actually on Github but not checking it too often ... I'll check it more regularly now You can also use my work address to contact me: m.crubellati@castsoftware.com
@seanmcilroy29 - Schedule a roundtable for Member Orgs in Financial Services to share their journey, successes, pain points and future plans.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. GSF Member Organisations in a certain sector are likely to share common challenges in regards both driving adoption of green software and also collaborating with the Green Software Foundation. There currently is limited means for them to share their stories and collectively overcome their challenges.
Describe the solution you'd like @greenhsu123 has proposed the GSF organise a roundtable for Member Orgs in Financial Services to share their journey, successes, pain points and future plans. This could obviously be expanded into roundtables for other sectors/industries.
Describe alternatives you've considered
