Windows Energy Estimation Tool #19

I have come across the Windows Energy Estimation tool (blog below). It relies on a battery to be able to predict the energy used by applications. Does anyone know if Microsoft has built something similar for hardware that consumes power from the grid?

https://devblogs.microsoft.com/sustainable-software/measuring-your-application-power-and-carbon-impact-part-1/ (The article is a few years old, and they may have improved their tooling and wider application of the approach to devices not reliant on batteries.)

Hi @adrianco @PindyBhullar, it looks like this tool is aimed at Windows client applications. Scaphandre has experimental support for Windows so it could be an option for attributing energy usage on Windows servers.
