MoM Henry opens the meeting @ 1600 BMT

Sustainability in software development, including assessment and decision-making. Pindy presents a framework for evaluating software development for Transforming Organisational Software Sustainability (TOSS). The framework includes a decision tree for an organization's sustainability journey.

Creating a framework for sustainability in software development. Pindy and members discussed the development of a framework for software development. They plan to start with a maturity matrix and add questions and tooling as they progress. The goal is to create a holistic framework that encompasses everything from strategy to operational compliance, and more. Sean McIlroy will be adding comments and questions as they go. Pindy suggests using a maturity matrix assessment as a starting point for organizations to evaluate their sustainability journey. Pindy proposes a decision tree matrix to identify gaps in data requirements and connect bespoke applications for sustainability reporting.

Creating a decision tree for assessing maturity in organizations. Navveen and Pindy discuss creating an assessment tool for maturity model implementation, focusing on personas and tooling.

End-to-end green software development journey, challenges, and potential solutions. Pindy and Thomas discussed the end-to-end journey of green software practitioners. They discussed the challenges faced by those who lack knowledge of green software and need a framework to approach the edict given to them. The group discussed the importance of bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders in sustainability initiatives. Navveen suggested using personas to help non-technical stakeholders understand the technical aspects of sustainability initiatives.

Techstrong TV Sustainability Interview with Bonnie Schneider Sean highlights an opportunity for members to participate in an interview regarding the SCI and it's release. Sean and Henry talked about identifying potential participants who could share their thoughts on the impact of SCI on the industry. Henry proposed sending an email to gather nominations for the AI group.

Standards development, workshop ideas, and updates on projects. Thomas outlines plans for the Foundation workshop, public page, and content focus. Sean shares updates on the standards project, including circulating a draft for review and seeking comments. The group discuss approving an edit, reviewing articles, and planning a meeting.
