Discussion of #56

Ciril: Two main benefits, optimize for either, can optimize for either. Also aligns with reporting standards better Worth exploring Combined metrics always carry this risk

Henry: Doesn't allow for co-optimizing or prioritization between metrics

Marco: 'Mathematically incompatible' is a strong statement, how to understand this? SCI is currently trying to weight, to score both, more than reporting, underlining to take both into account when making decisions What is the end goal of the tool? Help you to optimize? or to report? Puts pressure on tool for one thing, and not the other

Ben Logan: Like the separation, different roles and responsibilities Have lots of control over different parts Sometimes researchers downplay the importance of operational emissions (worth checking)

Marco: propose their own tools, worth looking into What the end goal? Operational vs. embodied can be questioned in other industries as well. For example

Henry: Score is already separated, can be further divided? SCI = O + M / R
