Abstract: In the latest research shared by WeForum, the fastest-growing roles are AI and Machine Learning Specialists followed by Sustainability Specialists. This article will explore what sustainability specialists do at ICT and tech companies, and the real responsibility they hold/ should hold to help companies achieve their sustainability targets.
Why: More and more practitioners are talking about green software and seeing value in completing the Green Software Practitioners Course. This article will connect what the foundation is doing programmatically with what cultural shifts need to take place to ensure talent that is ready and eager to make more climate conscious software has the infrastructure, resources, leadership support and individual agency to contribute to enterprise-wide emission reduction targets.
