Autodesk Revit sample model #35

Hi @JSpielbauer

During your recent Trane 3D presentation you presented an Autodesk Revit model exported as a gbXML file.

It would be great if you could share the gbXML file you generated. Even beter: share a raw GB XML export and share the fixed up file you created by adjusting the Revit settings.

I can use this file to help improve future revisions of the gbXML viewer and to speed up the process of your customers doing the speedy and full analysis using the Trane software.

@theo-armour here are the files. The "...as_is.xml" file is opening the file in Revit and just using the Room / Space export without any changes to the Revit file. The "..._cleaned.xml" file is the one that Joshua made changes to the Revit file in order to get the exported *.xml to import into T3DP. Revit_rac_advanced_sample_project.zip

@JSpielbauer

Thank you for sending these files. Very interesting!

I have added the files here:

https://github.com/ladybug-tools/3d-models/tree/master/gbxml-sample-files/revit-sample-files

The as-is file I saved in v17 in in order to reduce its file size to get under GitHubs 20mb file size limit.

In the same folder you will see the similar examples that Mostapha sent me. All are quite different.

You can view the files quickly by opening the "Sample Files Gallery in the dev version of the Spider gbXML Viewere here:

The new viewer is still at an early stage. Internally the code is lighter and simpler and - fingers crossed - faster. Visibly the user experience tries to follow Autodesk Forge. The intention is that the viewer will somehow help with identifying and fixing errors using the upcoming ASHRAE validator.

And the overarching intention is to make you happy and many Trane users happy by being to go from design to analysis and back as seamlessly as possible. So in the coming weeks I will be looking for looking for your good feedback.
