Please add the app to F-Droid. It seems that GreenPass already complies with the inclusion policy. If that is indeed the case, they have an FAQ entry on how to submit new apps.

Thank you for the nice project and for releasing it as free software! :)

Google Play is a arbitary monachistic-style removable-friendly store, but you are not alone with this:

It is always a good idea to have an alternative distribution channel and not relying on Google's monarchy.

klauskobald commented 3 years ago

It´s obvious and simple: if you are not a newspaper or broadcasting station you may not collect money from outside the store. The simple solution would be to implement a payment button and communicate the fundraising in a different manner. Same could happen on iOS store by the way, but it depends on the reviewer.

Can you please take the discussion about the current Google Play Store problem elsewhere? I don't care, since I am running LineageOS without Google services.

Thanks for the feature request, we will release it on F-Droid in the next days :)

I started the metadata file for inclusion over at Gitlab, feel free to copy.

Sadly, the build is currently failing as it complains about blocklisted packages in the namespace com.google.android.gms, but I couldn't find out yet where they're pulled in from.

jondo commented 3 years ago

@pludi, I get "Page Not Found" there.

pludi commented 3 years ago

Whoops. Helps to set the repo to Public :)

@JakobStadlhuber , in July:

we will release it on F-Droid in the next days :)

Is this already on F-Droid? I can't find it there.

Because it's not. Same problem with https://github.com/BRZ-GmbH/CovidCertificate-App-Android/issues/4

Just short info: Anybody can use the swiss app as well, as the austrian is (afaik?) just an fork of it and its the same as in europe https://github.com/admin-ch/CovidCertificate-App-Android Works like a charm.

jondo commented 2 years ago

Thank you for the hint. For feature parity, you'd also need a separate offline certificate checking app. The one for Switzerland is not suitable, because it only shows ok/not ok w.r.t. local Swiss rules - it does not show details about e.g. the number of vaccinations or the date of the last vaccination.

natrius commented 2 years ago

You might press one additional time on the QR-Code because it does exact that. I'm using it since beginning and its working like a charm. Without the info about the date of last vaccination you don't get entry in a lot of bars/restaurants/pubs/whatever.

EDIT: I read now, that you talked about the check-app. Sorry about that, you might be correct.
