CMake must be installed to build the following extensions: dlib #25

Hi friends,

I am trying to install it but i got this error. However, I already got the newest cmake version installed. That's why I do not understand the trigger...

RuntimeError:

Can you post some more info please if this is still an issue? OS + version?

Hello, I am on Windows with a fresh Installation of CMake and also have Issues with dlib library. I´m working in a virtualenv fresh Python Environment (2.7). Could not rid of my Error. Here is my Output:

Find Python 2 interpreter, compiler and development environment (include directories and libraries).

I ran into this issue as well. I am using OS X 10.13 and have a Python virtual environment that I am installing the requirements to.

I ran pip install cmake and re-ran pip install -r requirements.txt and I no longer received the error.

Closing this and removing the reference in the readme to windows, this was never tested, just presumed based on python. My apologies. Please run on OSX, Linux or a Linux VM.

For windows - pip install cmake Works for me as well

I was also getting a smiliar error as, " CMake must be installed to build the following extensions: dlib" (There was entire error trace which I am not adding) The reason was I was installing dlib in my conda environment and cmake was not present there. After installing cmake in conda environment, dlib got installed.
