Polymers for UV+ tiers #231

Closed pablocnvs closed 3 years ago

pablocnvs commented 3 years ago

Over the past weeks i've been making some polymer production chains that would be useful for UV+. Some of them are already mentioned in their own issues, but might not be updated to the current version, since some reworking has been done.

PEEK synthesis

Zylon Synthesis (2)

Fullerene Synthesis (2)

Fullerene Polymers

Nanotubes (1)

Lastly, while it doesn't fit the theme of higher-quality polymers on its own, this last one could be used in armor that could be potentially extended to cover the UV+ range

Bio Nylon Production

I've also added this last one because some components used in other recipes might be there

Catalysts are in purple, and the following substances are also catalysts/needed in small amounts

For the nanotome, i thought using a hand microtome or a ultramicrotome as the image for the item.

Benzaldehyde can be made from benzoyl chloride and hydrogen, with palladium and barite as catalysts. The reaction yields benzaldehyde and hydrogen, everything in a 1:1:1:1 ratio

In the nylon synthesis, the rhenium oxide catalyst can be replaced for PtCu3(TiO2)4, and in the PdIr(ReO2)SiO2, the rhenium oxide can be replaced with Scandium Triflate, which there's already a diagram for.
