Take a look at this mod: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/super-massive-tech

It is super old and has it's flaws, including being an RF mod, I know. But the idea of it, using Stars that are made/found in some way to make a Reactor that generates power over a long time until it's burned out and then explodes is a good idea in my opinion, maybe for ZPM, UV or UHV tier. I do not like how the stars are made in world by basically throwing a nether star into fire, that is not a good mechanic and the Reactors should be Multiblocks in Gregtech.

How do you feel about the general idea though? A star that is made with super high tech and is a power source that lasts for a while and at some point the Reactor WILL explode. I can think of a few ways to implement this in Gregicality. These stars could replace the Nether Star in the recipe for the Gravi Star (currently only used to make Wetware Mainframes and UV Field Generators)

I think it's definitely a cool idea and could be a UHV power gen option

Generate a massive amount of helium and hydrogen plasma which is pumped into a large multiblock that could be called Star Containment Field or something. Ignite it in some way and let it burn for a very long time. Incentivize the use of several world accelerators to speed this process up so that it only takes a few minutes. At the end of the star's lifespan it results in a large explosion and leaves behind a black hole item. This has to be put in a Black Hole Containment Unit which will be an extremely expensive item. The Stabilized Black Hole will then have to be inserted into another large multiblock.

Power would then be generated via the Penrose process
