I'm no programmer, but I was able to figure out how to edit the patchfile
and follow the installation guide by Ayo
(http://ayozone.org/2008/03/12/global-menu-the-new-gnome-macmenu/) to
successfully compile and install gtk-aqd.

Here is the updated patchfile that I used to compile against the gtk+2
libraries that are included in Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex.

It dont work for me, i apply the patch, not problem.

patch -p1 < ./patch.diff

./configure
make
make install

And the menu work normally, the menu appear in the normal window ...

We no longer need to patch GTK since 0.6.
