I am contacting the FOSDOM 2009 person (Christophe Fergeau) but I later noticed
it is
for Europeons; and Projects presented there are all pretty big:

Any ideas on it?

It depends.. can you afford the trip to Fosdem ?
Otherwise, if it's only a nationality thing, we may do it as a collective
presentation, or let lviggiani do the talk or register a European and let you
do the
talk or even ask for an exception.
Alternatively you may ask for sponsorship to a Gnome Summit to present your work
(that might give you the chance to know the Gnome devs better)
Don't have any complex on the size of the project. In the worst case, we may
brand
the whole thing about the Document centric desktop, take GlobalMenu as a step
and get
people excited about the rest.

It says Gnome Lovers in Europe, but it doesn't ban foreigners from doing a talk.

The ticket from my place to there is $600.
@lviggiani, are you interested in the event?

May you somehow get sponsorship?

I am sort of leaning to go around the world before I finish the PhD, so ..
The credit card company will be my sponser. A damn visa is also a must.

Well it looks interesting but at the moment I still don't know if I'll be able
to
attend. I have a work travel upcoming and I should be back around the 29 Jan
but I
might also happen that I have to stay there much longer.

No. I can't make it. To obtain a visa I need to go to Washington DC or even
back to
Beijing. It's stupid.
