Since the globalmenu applet occupies all free space on the panel, it is
difficult to open the gnome-panel popup menu to configure it. I think it would
be natural to popup the applet menu when clicking on the menues text and
displaying the panel menu when clicking on the free space.
I use global menu 0.7.9 on Debian Squeeze.
