Currently, a pocket or trace "clear" operation will produce toolpaths that look like this (even with ease-in enabled, ease-in is only for z depth).
Being able to spiral out instead of a linear translation+circular cut would likely make for more efficient, quicker, cleaner toolpaths with a more pleasant surface finish.
