Major changes:

simpler and clenar Template and TemplatedGenerator design
a custom Formatter class dealing with collections
case style converter utils
add tests

I would like to merge this PR now because it is already quite big (most of it is just moving stuff around, and adding docs and tests). I'm still working in adding features to our custom XStringFormatter class, but those features can be added later in separate PRs.
