Demon's Souls collision edits causing variety of issues

I've encountered a variety of issues

• Some changes will just not present themselves in game (does show in map studio)
• Walking on exported collision will make the game crash on taking damage or breaking objects (not always the case)
• messing with any collision that lets you walk to another piece of collision will put your game in a state where just about anything will crash it.
• After crashing the game will revert collision back to vanilla until you enter the nexus and return to the area.

these 2 images are of the same exact game files but the one where Im in the gate is after first returning to the nexus (I will then crash and return to the state of the 1st image until switching to nexus again)

I suspect (some of) the problems might be caused by something outside the plugin (skill issue/game issue/emulator issue) but people on ?servername? suggested I post it here anyway

Not all changes seem to disappear after a crash/reload/death. Ive done a lot of painstaking testing to see what does and doesn't cause issues. ?servername? has a thread I made about it but it does kinda start as a mess of me figuring out what could be causing it to eventually kinda narrowing things down through trial and error https://discord.com/channels/529802828278005773/1295866626347896863
