Improve README so it easier for new users of the repo to get started. Explain how to checkout both the grit and grit-khmer repos and get a node.js web server running.

Some work done on this but it could still be improved

We don't currently have any new devs starting work with this repo. Closing this until we do as it is too hard to know what to prioritise without feedback.
