Night is too dark - graphical gameplay improovement #214

Basically when it is nighttime in the game, you can't see anything at all. I understand that it is night however the game like this becomes unplayable. Then I would say it would be helpful to either put a setting to disable the darkening of the graphics, or at least a brightness/range setting. Either at the gameplay level put in flashlights, lots of flashlights, or put in skills like darkvision or spells or all together. Although I never really liked the classes, pre-built which in my opinion limit the choices a bit, The game is cute however playing in the dark is not possible, it is worse than pixel hunting! Also when you are indoors it would be the case not to affect the lighting. And then the problem of the trees covering the characters, it would take a semi-transparency or even better just make the tree disappear.

P.s. I increased the gamma of my monitor and now I can see quite a bit (even the screenshoot I took, which so doesn't show too dark on your screens, I guess), the problem however is that now everything else on the pc shows faded XD. So yes, the game need a game gamma setting!

@vinniec Thanks for taking the time to leave a report. Your suggestion that we need a gamma setting is a good one. However, there is also some sort of bug or configuration issue happening here, as the screenshot you provided is far darker than I have seen on any of the machines I've tested on. Also, the UI looks extremely dark and should not be impacted by the day / night cycle.

Can you provide some details of your configuration - are you using the prebuilt binaries, or building from source? Your Operating System? Graphics card?

Thanks.

prebuild on win11, the gpu is an integrated intel(r) Hd graphics. P.s. another somewhat annoying problem is that when I click to change positions I often have to click more than once so that the command is captured. And for the warlock, maybe it would be a good idea to put a slow mana regeneration.
