Versions and Milestones #34

I think it would be helpful if Versions and especially Milestones are the same with backend and app. So we can easier sort what each of us needs to do. Do you have an idea?

ghost commented 9 years ago

That is good but first

J-8 commented 9 years ago

Paper? The app is also in the organization. Can you not modify it?

ghost commented 9 years ago

Lolo you are right The terms oft the paper

J-8 commented 9 years ago

I'm sorry, but I don't get what paper you mean? :) It's been a long day at work...

ghost commented 9 years ago

for 4 days you told us, that you write down something for the app. what should the app do for what is the app stuff like that

J-8 commented 9 years ago

Sorry, you are right. I will most likely have free time this morning, so I will create a little roadmap. Thanks for reminding me!

J-8 commented 9 years ago

Check out the wiki: https://github.com/GroundApps/ShoppingList/wiki Especially the roadmap: https://github.com/GroundApps/ShoppingList/wiki/Roadmap That's what comes to my mind when I think about what the app should do.

You are welcome to add your own thoughts!

I just added a tag for the new backend. I think the backend version should be consistent with the app version, so it is easy to download the right version. Or how should it be done?

jklmnn commented 9 years ago

That sounds like a good idea.

ghost commented 9 years ago

Good :+1:

jklmnn commented 9 years ago

I have closed all 0.x milestones and created a Milestone 1.1 since we're already on 1.0.

J-8 commented 9 years ago

The thing with milestones is that they should only be major versions. I was hoping that for all APP versions from 1.1 to 1.9 backend version 1 can definitely be used.

I am not sure if that is the best way or what your idea are.

jklmnn commented 9 years ago

Well I don't think that we should change the major version too often (which would mean that we would loose compatibility). In this case I'd recommend not to use milestones at all. I just thought we could keep an overview about which changes we are going to make with minor updates.

ghost commented 9 years ago

Yeah that's true. Wie must define a roadtrip I think
