What I done this week?

• Explored JHipster Integration
• Experimented recreating the application using JHipster generate commands
• Implemented Checkout Feature
• User can now checkout their cart and simulate a sale
• Price fields added to Book Entity to calculate totals (updated unit tests)
• Sale Entity completed with unit tests
• Checkout Cart Use Case Integration test added
• Added feature to modify quantity of books in cart
• User can increase quantity of a book in the cart up to the quantity of book in stock
• User can effectively remove the book from their cart by decreasing it's quantity to 0 (remove button still completely removes the book from their cart)
• Updated calculation on subtotals to account for quantities
• Updated cart checkout integration test
• Updated cart and sale unit tests for new quantities fields

• Prepare topic for JHipster
• Record presentation of topic for oral presentation

What I have done for the week?

• Implemented a Book Search for users
• The tables that display the books are now sort-able
  • For titles, publishers, authors and pictures it is sorted in alphabetical order
  • For numerical fields such as ISBN it is sorted in numerical order
• Added new entries to the CommandLineRunner
• Created a integration testing for book searching

What I have done for the week?

• Implemented the Inventory feature:

  1. added the Integer variable "quantity" in Class Book
  2. updated the checkout feature so that whenever a checkout happens, all the books that were in the cart get their quantities reduced by 1
  3. Updated all the necessary Html templates to show the quantities and to prevent buying books with 0 quantity, made use of the Availability boolean attribute in Book to determine whether a book can be placed in the cart or not based on the quantity. Also updated the new_book template to allow the admin to specify the quantity of a book as well.

• Added necessary links between the Html templates

• Added a default error Html template

• Updated the test classes and the integration test to ensure that the books' quantities are reduced after a checkout happens.

• updated the CommandLineRunner args to include the "quantity" attribute

• Added the Logout option

  1. Created a Logout page
  2. ​Updated the html templates to include the "logout" option on the MenuBar wherever necessary.

• Changed the repositories from extending PagingAndSortingRepository to extending JpaRepository which extends the former and allows for usage of the saveAndFlush() method.

• Fixed Issues with wrong links between templates
