Mythical forces prevent you from using this device after server restart. #213

Using Arsmagica2-1.10.2-1.5.0-17b as found in the Requiem Experience modpack version 1.12

After server restart my progress in the mod has been wiped and I'm unable to use the Occulus. Creating a new compendium does nothing.

Oddly I can still cast previously crafted spells but have no spell parts to craft new ones.

The only way we've found to continue using the mod once this happens is to delete the player data and start the mod over.

While not a proper solution the the issue, a possible workaround:

Try using NBTExplorer and taking a look at your player.dat and related files. Flip some booleans, mess around.

What forge version is the server using?

ProfHugo commented 7 years ago

try doing a forcesync ( use /am2 forcesync), then pick up a compendium made without using creative (etherium and item frame)

Chaogomu commented 7 years ago

Forge version is 12.18.3.2221

Oddly this last time a client crash restored my progress and mana/burnout bars.

TheIcyOne commented 7 years ago

I remember a similar issue in the 1.7.10 version, but that only occurred on servers running non-default forge versions, so this is a little odd.

Chaogomu commented 7 years ago

Ok this bug has been seen by several people on the server. It's odd. sometimes a server restart will fix it. sometimes (very rarely) changing dimensions will. Other than that nothing seems to work.

It doesn't seem to matter if you use Curse or MultiMC (the current Draconic JEI bug is Curse only)

xenxero1 commented 7 years ago

I've had success with combinations of relogging, and spending skillpoints in the Occulus. Just the refreshing seems to be enough to get it working again.

Renari commented 7 years ago

We have a bunch of people having the same issue on our server as well. Using forcesync seems to fix it temporarily, but this seems to require op to be used.

bookerthegeek commented 7 years ago

@Renari you can set that command to not require op to use as a temp solution.
