Spell does not work #296

I made a self regen+heal spell and it does not do anything. When I don't have enough mana it says that by making mana bar blink, but when I do nothing happens. All the mods pack 2.52b Ars Magica 2 1.5.0-17b

You can't mix regen and heal.

It's incredibly unintuitive, I'd prefer a system where certain abilities mana costs multiply when in combination. regen heal for example could be extremely expensive, fire and ignition could be slightly cheaper, etc...

Well, I most certainly can, at least the compendium did not say otherwise, and the inscription table was pretty okay with that too. This is not mentioned on wiki either. And recent chagelog has no sign of heal or regen.

It´s been a thing since 1.7.10.

you can make any combination of spells, just do keep in mind that it can get expensive.

I had a quick look at the code, and it seems that a spell with the order Regen-Heal will not work, but Heal-Regen will. Or possibly the other way round.

I can confirm that one of the orders work, but I'm not sure which. A player on my server uses a maxed out version of the Regen + healing spell (unsure of the order of components, I can see if he still has the spell crafting book laying around.)
