Which version are you using? I have a feeling that the first two should be fixed in latest.
Burnout isn't actually directly linked to XP gain, the rate of XP gain is reduced by how recently you casted a specific spell.
I'm using the one listed as v1.5.0-18 on curse (released 3/31/17). Sorry for forgetting that.
I guess I mis-remembered how burnout and xp works. I haven't used the mod in a long time. I'll give the manual a look-at.
A bit of an update on the tile entity data, I think I was wrong about it. I have no idea why it happened the few times it did, but since then I haven't been able to reproduce it. Edit: Since everything else here is either solved or user error, go ahead and close this. I'll contribute to #312 for the lectern issue.
Tile Entites, in my case the Mana Battery and Celestial Prism, are not saving their data when unloaded. They lose what blocks they're linked to, and the battery resets to zero stored mana.
The Lectern, when placed in the world and rendered, drops my fps from 60 down to single digits. If I turn around or go underground, fps returns to normal. I do not know if this is an issue with the mod or my video settings, but none of the Minecraft settings change anything. I do not use Optifine, but I do use FoamFix.
I don't think the burnout reduction bonus functions at all. I cast a spell at zero burnout, I gain xp and it goes up like normal then goes down quickly. I then cast another spell at zero burnout, and gain next to no experience. Waiting longer before casting lets me gain the normal amount of xp.
