If you punch any of the resource blocks, IE Vinteum, Chimerite, Blue Topaz, Moonstone, and Sunstone they are able to be instant mined with your hand, and if you "mine" it with your hand it won't drop. You need a pick to mine them to get the block back. Might have something to do with requiring "No Tool", at least that's what TheOneProbe shows me.
