I mean I don't like that the buckets turn into something weird as soon as you fill them with condensed milk, and the bottle turns into a pint of ale, I'd like to change that somehow

as for ales, try making a datapack copy of fermentation_barrel_pale_ale.json (recipes directory) and change the bottle to something else.

I know that this is possible, it’s just very annoying that it’s not there by default.

That something weird is a milk bucket and is by design so that players can tell it is a Growthcraft Milk fluid amongst your other buckets of fluid.

whether a mod should add a milk bucket so that people know that it is that mod's milk and not normal milk (that vanilla and all other mods use) that is a separate question...

I know, but these are just very sharp transitions, I would like something smoother. I am a softie in terms of beauty and sharpness, so between convenience and beauty I will choose the latter

I do not see the texture of the milk buckets being changed. It is only a texture and can easily be customized via a data pack. Diary products are not stored in an open bucket; thus, if you are going for more realism, a "milk bucket" is what those fluids are stored in.

I know, but if you put condensed milk in a regular bucket, it will become different. It would be logical if it could only be put in special buckets
