List of higher tier foods for Hunger Overhaul and Kitchen Module #7

Hunger Overhaul nerfs all foods and expects there to be higher tier foods. For Growthcraft this means that there need to be a few food things made from different ingredients to form a higher tier of food. This issue is to brainstorm and finalize that list into a design doc. Once there is a kitchen module, the recipes for these can change to accommodate the new mechanics.

This is based on a proven list a friend and I used to play a balanced modded pack. The idea is that the better foods require a varied setup of farms. Hence a salad feeds more than a pot pie, because the salad requires more different farms.

Light Meals

Sandwich = Bread + Beef / Pork / Chicken Sushi = Onigiri + Fish or Brown Mushroom

Meal

Pot pie = Like a cake recipe, but with meat and mushrooms instead of sugar

Large Meal

Curry = Rice + Carrot + Chicken Seafood = Rice + Bamboo Shoot + Fish Stew = Potato + Pumpkin + Beef Casserole = Wheat + Apple + Pork

Feast

Roast = Beef or Pork + Honey + Carrots + Potatoes + Brown Mushroom Salad = Chicken or Fish + Apple + Melon + Grapes + Rice

This might be a candidate for GC Kitchen.

Hmm, how about a system similar to TFC? Well, not quite, but similar.

Food types grouped with each other, vegetables, proteins, grains, dairy and fruits. Put them in mixing bowl "machine" to get a salad, a cauldron to get stew, and in a cutting board with a bread in it to to get sandwiches. And maybe a special baking oven to get pies and such?

The end product will have a its food value determined by how many ingredients are in there, if they are from different food groups and maybe if it is one of predetermined recipes.

Maybe you could make it work with pam's harvestcraft as well (probably would be better to have your own items, but as a transitional solution, it may work).

Sounds about right, sure. I like the idea of creating a mechanic for each "type" of food. We can even integrate with The Spice of Life too, if rudimentary food groups are a thing.
