ConfigManager needs cleanup, it's currently a bit confusing which values are
active and valid, thus some parts of the game will show wrong values (i.e.
print_greeting()).
Proper use would be: no code in ConfigManager that does changes to the
underlying system and instead hook up display and sound code via signals
