Add option to persist files and content #24

I understand that you intentionally built this to dynamically populate the file's text on access to allow for dynamically switching between versions and remove the need to have the entire Bible downloaded on disk in your vault. However, it would be nice if you added an option to allow us to choose that functionality anyway.

Perhaps adding a flag that tells your plugin to go ahead and download the chosen translation's content into all of the chapter files and persist it as an offline copy.

You can build your Bible with the text of a specific translation baked in by disabling the Build with dynamic verses toggle in the Book builder menu, before you build your Bible.

Does this help?

That is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I hadn't installed the plugin yet as I was just reading the github docs for it first.

This is by far the easiest method of getting the Bible into Obsidian (after spending a couple days trying to get a copy I liked via the original scripts)! This certainly needs to be the new primary method for the Bible Study in Obsidian Kit.

Thanks for your work on this!
