Imported book names have issues when using NKJV #7

I'm wanting to use My Bible to import and use a NKJV bible in Obsidian, but when I do a normal import the book names are very verbose. Too long to be used for Bible linking NKJV Book Names When I import the NKJV with Abbreviated Book Names , all the books have the same abbreviation, "The" and so all the chapters go in one folder. NKJV with Abbreviated Book Names

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

I have no problem using the LSB

Thanks for an awesome tool!

Switch the translation to Young's Literal Translation, build the Bible again, then switch back to New King James Version, and that will give you the book names you expect while reading the NKJV. When you build the Bible, the book names are taken from you currently selected translation. It seems NKJV has particularly verbose names for the books. God bless!

Thanks for your help. I'm glad to hear there is a work around.

This is what I am doing, based on your instructions and the results I am seeing. 1 In settings I set the vorsion to YLT

  1. Then I run the build Bible command clearing out first.
  2. Then in settings I set the version to NKJV
  3. Then I run the build Bible command NOT clearing out first I end up with two sets of folders one with YLT Names and one with NKJV names.

When I do the same thing but clear out in step four I get just the NKJV (long) names.

What am I missing?

Thanks, Brent

After you build and clear with the YLT version, switch back to NKJV without rebuilding and that should fix it for you.
