If you open on Guake-terminal and then open the Cinnamon menu on Linux Mint 17 or 18 (with mouse click or super-key) the focus from the menu search entry will stolen in less then 1 second. Cursor is still in the menu entry and you can type, but instead of setting an new text it extends the placeholder text. No possibility to re-activate is again. You have to open menu again and it will work like it should.
Maybe it is a Linux Mint issue.
Using Guake-Terminal 0.8.4
Linux Mint 18.1 Cinnamon
