is it possible to use this model for a 5-roller omniwheel like Lego's #9

Hello,

I try modeling a 5-roller omniwheel and found yours is quite close to that, but I found two .stl files which I don't know what they are. Maybe, they are generated by other software or something like that?

Hi there.

Yes, it's possible. I used SolidWorks to model the wheels (based on a file provided by the product vendor), compute their moments of inertia and export them as STL. Then I used Blender to make sure the models were aligned to the XYZ axes in a way that made sense to me.
