I've noticed that the play-speed/BPM of played songs alternate and change, possibly during connection lag during load.

Not sure if anything can be done in regards to this issue on your end, just thought I'd let you know.

Is it possible to perhaps create an artificial lag or some kind of buffer-system?

Anyhow, keep it up.

Yes, it is possible. I will look into what I can do to fix it :)
